We are excited to announce our 2021 holiday and match funding opportunities.

2021 is the first holiday year following the update to our charity constitution. We are proud to extend both our holiday provision and the age range of children to between 6 and 16. This enables us to reach a greater number of children in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

You will remember that our holidays in 2020 were sadly unable to go ahead due to Covid-19 restrictions. We are optimistic for 2021 and are now taking nominations. We are also happy to have offered all 85 children disappointed last year a holiday place this year.

2021 Holidays

We are piloting a holiday for children in Year 2. You can nominate children for a

stay at Beaumanor Hall, Leicestershire on 2nd to 4th June 2021. This holiday provides a range of activities such as High Ropes, Climbing, Archery, Land Buggies, Nightline, Survival, Shelter Building, Bridge Building, Team Challenges and Orienteering.

Children in Years 3 to 6 can be nominated for a stay at Hilltop Outdoor Centre, Norfolk. We have two holidays booked at Hilltop on 2nd – 6th August and 16th – 20th August. This holiday is an outdoor adventure with activities such as High Ropes, Climbing Wall, Abseiling, Air Jump, Big Zipper, Assault Course, Crate Stacking, Archery, Mountain Bikes, Bush Craft, Rocky Seashore and Beach.

The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday 26th March 2021.

Match Funding Group/Club/School Residentials

We also feel that a child’s inclusion on a group/club/school residential trip is vital. This year, in addition to our holidays, we aim to support free access to residentials by match funding the cost of a trip with groups/clubs/schools.

Our intention is to take the financial burden of payment away from a parent/carer that would otherwise either struggle to pay or withdraw their child from the opportunity to take part. We can do this by sharing the cost with their group/club/school. This is a great way for us to reach out to many more children.

The deadline for submitting match funding nominations is a minimum of six weeks before the residential takes place.

Nominations forms are available for completion by those working with a child in a professional supporting role.

For more information about our 2021 opportunities and to request a nomination form please contact our Nominations Administrator, Wendy Spencer, 0116 251 9863 or email at hello@leicesterchildrensholidays.co.uk.
