Our Team

We are a small but mighty staff team here at LCH, all dedicated to making a difference to the lives of young people.

– Meet our CEO –

Nichola Moore

Nichola is passionate about providing positive experiences for children facing disadvantage. She believes LCH is crucial to enable equal opportunities for children. Having worked in the education sector as a Business Director for over 15 years she has strong skills in finance, HR and Project Management.

– Meet our Partnership Liaison Officer-

Michelle Cullen

Michelle is our Partnership Liaison Officer, with 30 years experience in the travel industry she knows all about holidays, dedicating lots of her free time as Secretary for a local grassroots football club, she is passionate about enriching the lives of children.

Michelle leads on the charities holidays and loves seeing the children develop and grow in confidence.

– Meet our Marketing and Fundraising Assistant –

Grace Clarke

Grace is our much valued Marketing and Fundraising Assistant, from creating promotions, looking after social media, planning events and looking for new opportunities, we keep her very busy.

Grace has a passion to help and care for those less fortunate and provide opportunities that otherwise would not arise.

– Meet our Finance and Office Assistant –

Karen Leitch

Karen is our Finance and Office Assistant and has been with the charity for 4 years.

With over 30 years in admin roles, she is a great asset to the team.

Karen loves our new Broadening Horizons project and is excited to help children reach their potential.

Our holiday and activity staff

We couldn’t do what we do without our holiday and activity staff who join us for all our holidays and short breaks, with their day jobs in schools across the county as teachers or support staff, they generously give up their holiday and free time to support us and the children we serve.

Our Trustees

Our charity is governed by ten trustees all who dedicate and volunteer their time and expertise to the charity.

Bryon Brotherton

– Chair-

Bryon joined LCH in 2022. He has served 39 years in the British Army and truly wants to make a difference. Bryon became Chair of our charity in November 2023 and is looking forward to continuing our journey of helping more children in more ways.

June Lim

– Vice Chair-

June has always focused on the care and wellbeing of children in her life and career. June plans some fantastic fundraising events for the charity and is very artistic. June became our Vice Chair in November 2023.

Jean Lewis

– Trustee –

Jean Lewis MBE is our longest serving trustee and is passionate about our holiday provision for children. She held a career involved in education, as a lecturer, governor and lecturing on governance.

Parvez Bhatty

– Trustee-

Parvez joined the charity in 2017, he has helped transform it into a forward-looking organisation with a bright future. Parvez is passionate about helping children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Sandesh Jesrani

– Trustee –

Sandesh came to live in the UK from Tanzania in 1973. A partner at Sharman Fielding accountancy firm he gives the charity great financial support. Sandesh loves to give back to the city which nurtured him.

Eilidh Stringer

– Trustee –

Eilidh joined the charity in 2023, with a long career in the charity sector she supports us with her knowledge and expertise of fundraising, grants and communication. She is passionate about improving children’s lives.

Hema Badger-Mistry

– Trustee –

Hema has extended experience of working with children, young people and communities, as Director of Pedestrian, an arts and education charity, she is all about increasing the life chances and opportunities for all young people but especially those facing challenges and disadvantages. She supports the charity with her broad knowledge of the charity sector.

Chris Hewitt

– Trustee –

Chris is part of the LCH alumni which drives his passion for the charity. Chris strives to support the creation of more opportunities for children across Leicestershire and beyond. Having many years in the energy retail industry, he brings his commercial acumen and innovation to LCH. 

Anita Popat

– Trustee –

Born and bred in Leicester, Anita’s delighted to support the charity in creating happy memories young children can cherish for years to come. She’s passionate about protecting children’s mental health, as it has such a profound effect in later life, and brings over 15 years of Marketing and Social Media expertise to help share the charity’s message far and wide.
