Many families struggle with time or finances to go on a holiday. This is where our charity comes in. As well as an unforgettable experience for the children, our holidays give parents a break too. With your help, we will continue to help families across Leicestershire.

General Manager of Leicester Children’s Holidays

£18k (FTE £35,000) – 20 hours per week – Flexible Working Hours

Based in Leicester, East Midlands

Leicester Children’s Holidays is a local charity that provides disadvantaged children in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland free holidays with new experiences in caring environments and learning opportunities.

We are searching for a dynamic person to join our Charity as General Manager, based in Leicester, East Midlands.

The ideal candidate will have the skills to lead our Charity to grow and meet the increasing challenges faced by the sector in a competitive fundraising environment.  As our General Manager you will need to inspire and manage a team of employees and volunteers.  Good verbal and written skills are essential and the ability to network and build relationships with potential partners and stakeholders that will provide increased streams of income and deliver exceptional holidays for disadvantaged children.

This is a new role and is initially offered as a temporary contract for 6 months at 20 hours per week with a salary of £18,000 p.a. (full time equivalent is £35,000 p.a. approx) and Pension Scheme.  This role may become permanent subject to agreement by the Board of Trustees.  Potentially the number of hours may increase in the future which will also be subject to future approval by the Board of Trustees.
